You can watch the segment here at FOX 4.  This is a recipe in my new cookbook Food For the Family Soul/ Call Your Mother In Law.  The cookbook was officially launched yesterday.   The book is available at many retailers, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple iBooks, Kobo and many more.  You can click on links below to get your book.
I was so nervous getting ready for today.  I had friends calling to offer words of support early as I was headed to the station.  It was amazing I was interviewed by Abby Eden at Fox 4.  She was so sweet and made me feel relaxed.  I could not have made it through my first cooking segment without my wonderful friend Karen.  She helped me set everything up and made my Brussel Sprout Gratin Photo ready.

I wanted to share with you the two events I have coming up you can sign up and reserve your book for the events.  Both events have a limited number of books so get yours today. Buy your tickets at the links below.

Artichoke Crab Soup

12 ounces of fresh lump crab meat 1/4 cup organic butter 1/4 cup unbleached organic flour 2 cups organic milk 1 1/2 cup organic half and half 1 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 14 oz. artichoke bottoms chopped 1/4 teaspoon white pepper 2 tablespoon white wine I know this is not a healthy soup.  It definitely has a lot of fat.  But think of it a special treat once in a while a treat is ok.  And this soup is really good.   Directions: Melt butter in a sauce pan over low heat.  Add flour and stir until smooth.  Stir constantly until slightly golden. Slowly stir in milk and half and half.  Add cheese.  continue to stir while cooking over medium heat until thickened.  Add artichokes, crab, white wine and white pepper.  Simmer a couple of minutes and serve hot.   Enjoy this wonderful soup. Directions Put beef and 1 package seasoning in skillet and break up while cooking until all meat is browned.  In another skillet put your cleaned shrimp with shell and tail removed.  Add other package of seasoning to shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink.  Heat taco shells in ...

I try to post something I have recently made at home so, I can give my readers a fresh picture of my food.  So the dishes you see are my dishes.  I have two small sets that I have mixed together. After many years of being married, my dishes from when we got married are very few.  So when we made this last move I bought some dishes that were inexpensive but I really liked.  However these dishes get hot when I reheat food in the microwave.  So last year my mother-in-law gave me a nice gift card for my birthday to a department store.  So I used that to buy a really nice set of dishes.  They are supposed to be microwave and dishwasher safe. One day warming a piece of pizza in the microwave I hear a pop.  I open the microwave and the dish has cracked all th...
