Brownies

I love this quick recipe that I don't feel as guilty about. Use your favorite organic or all natural brownie mix 1 cup fruit and vegetable juice  1 tbsp olive oil  Mix ingredients together.  grease an 8x8 pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Fruit Kabobs

Keep junk food kids busy with this tasty fun while you get dinner ready. Put fresh fruit on a plate or in a bowl   cubed honey dew cubed cantaloupe  organic grapes pineapple cubed  organic strawberries green trimmed off and cut in half bamboo skewers  Directions:  Give the  ingredients  to the kids for imagination and  taste buds to enjoy.  Mix it up and add or subtract the fruits your kids really like. Goat Cheese Apps

I love to put this out when friends are coming to hang out.  It looks pretty and tastes great. 1 log of goat cheese 1 tbsp minced sun dried tomatoes 1 tbsp minced fresh dill salt grinder  pepper grinder Directions:  Slice goat cheese into 4 slices.  Roll two slices in sun dried tomatoes and arrange on plate.  Roll two slices in dill and arrange on plate.  Sprinkle with a small amount of salt and pepper.  Serve with whole wheat crackers. Blackberry Cookies

1/2 cup salted organic butter softened 1 cup frozen organic Blackberries 1 cup sugar 1 egg  1 tsp lemon juice 1/2 Tsp pure vanilla 2 tbsp baking soda 2 cups organic unbleached flour Directions:  cream butter, sugar and egg.  Warm blackberries them puree them.  once they are thoroughly pureed run through a strainer into creamed mixture.  Add lemon juice, vanilla, baking soda and flour a 1/2 cup at a time mixing well. This dough can be chilled to use for shaped cookies or can be directly rolled into balls and placed on a greased baking sheet.  Bake at 375 degrees 10 to 12 minutes or until edges of cookies are lightly browned. Cheese Quiche

This was my son's favorite when he was little.  He use to jump up and down yelling quiche in front of the oven while it cooked.  2 cups organic whole milk (you could use a lower fat if you want) 5 eggs with omega 3 1/2 tsp. hot sauce  1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 cup shredded italian cheese mix 1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese  1/4 tsp thyme (crush with fingers) 1 tsp salt  1 tsp basil  1 uncooked pie crust Directions;  place pie crust in pie dish.  Mix filling ingredients together and place in pie crust. Bake at 300 degrees for about 40 to 50 minutes.  Enjoy!!!! kids love this. Green   Shellfish Yellow  Nuts Blue   Soy Orange  Fish

Banana Pancake

Simple and healthy breakfast for kids. 1 Banana 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla protein powder Directions:  Mix ingredients together and cook in a pan like a pancake.  Makes two.  For a little extra sweetness sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Aunt Glady's Camarones Pasta

This is one of my favorites my aunt always makes this for me when I see her.   2/3 cup organic extra virgin olive oil 6 organic roma tomatoes 2 heads garlic 1/2 ounce fresh organic Basil 1 pound linguine with omega-3 2 pounds peeled and deveined shrimp 1 teaspoon salt Directions:  Peel and chop garlic.  Chop roma tomatoes and put to side.  Remove stems form basil and chop leaves.  Put olive oil in large pan and saute garlic until just golden.  Add tomatoes and basil cook about 8 to 10 minutes on medium low heat.  Add Shrimp and salt cook until pink. Cook pasta according to directions to al dente and mix with sauce and shrimp.  Serve immediately.  I like to serve with a garnish of graded parmesan cheese.
